Resident Dining Account
Dining in our residence hall restaurants is an integral part of the residential living experience. Our locations offer students a safe, comfortable atmosphere for dining, hanging out with old friends or meeting new ones, watching TV, working on projects and studying from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. Freshmen in particular appreciate not worrying about meals as they ease into the college lifestyle with the new demands of class schedules, campus activities and studying.
Our residence hall restaurants feature new menu items every day, from regional American favorites like buttermilk fried chicken and waffles, to vegan specialties like spicy black bean cakes with corn jicama slaw.
The Resident Dining Account is tailored for ultimate convenience. When not at the residence halls, students may use their dining funds at all Housing and Food Services locations across campus.

How It Works
Your Resident Dining Account can be used at any campus restaurant, café, espresso bar, express market and in many vending machines. You have complete flexibility, with no set meal prices or meal times. The account works like a debit account, with all of the funds loaded in your Resident Dining Account at the beginning of the each quarter. You only pay for exactly what you choose to eat, when you choose to eat.
The dollar amount placed on your Resident Dining Account each quarter is determined by the Dining Level you choose, and the entire quarterly dollar amount is accessible at the beginning of each quarter (balances from the autumn and winter quarters carry forward). You use your student ID card (Husky Card) to access your dining funds and make purchases. Every time you make a purchase, the amount is deducted from your balance. After each purchase, the remaining dollar amount is displayed on the cash register so you can keep track of your balance throughout the quarter.
Dining Levels
| Quarterly Allotment | Annual Total |
Purple | $1,727 | $5,181 |
Gold | 1,061 | 3,183 |
Silver | 870 | 2,610 |
Bronze | 714 | 2,142 |
Selecting a Dining Level
Selecting a Dining Level that matches your lifestyle and eating preferences is very important. We have created a comprehensive Dining Level Selection Guide to aid you in selecting the right program that matches your eating styles and preferences.
If you are assigned to a Dining Optional Area (2104 House or Stevens Court A–D), you will have the opportunity to decline your Dining Level. However, all applicants must select a Dining Level in order to complete the housing application.
If you have a medically-related dietary restriction, please review the Accommodation information here.
Dining Facts
If you think you may run out of funds earlier than anticipated, you can add money to your Husky Card Account, which can be used anywhere the Resident Dining Account is accepted and at many off-campus locations.
