Resolving Problems

In case of errors or questions about your Husky Card Account, contact the Husky Card Account Office at huskycrd@u.washington.edu or 206-543-7222.

If you think your receipt or account balance is incorrect, or if you need more information about a transaction listed on a receipt or a statement you have requested, you must notify us as soon as possible. We must hear from you no later than 60 days after we mailed or gave you the statement on which the problem or error appeared.

In any correspondence regarding your Husky Card Account,

  1. Include your name and account number;

  2. Describe the error or the transaction you are unsure about and explain as clearly as you can why you believe it is an error or why you need more information; and,

  3. Indicate the dollar amount of the suspected error.

If you notify us of an error orally, we may require that you send us your complaint or question in writing within ten business days.

We will inform you of the results of our investigation within ten business days after we hear from you and will correct any error promptly after the investigation. If we need more time, however, we may take up to 90 days to investigate your complaint or question. If we decide to do this, we will credit your account within 20 business days for the amount you think is in error, so that you will have the use of the money during the time it takes us to complete our investigation. Under certain circumstances, $50 may be retained by our office if there is a reasonable belief that an unauthorized transfer of funds has occurred. You will be informed of this credit within two days. You will be notified of its permanency once the investigation is completed. If we ask you to put your complaint or question in writing and we do not receive it within ten business days, we may not credit your account.

If we decide that there was no error, we will send you a written explanation within three business days after we finish our investigation. You may ask for copies of the documents that we used in our investigation.
