Fees and Payment

 

  • Food purchased through University of Washington (UW) budgets or grants is paid for by an Internal Sales Document and is not subject to state sales tax and gratuities.

 

  • For individuals and off-campus businesses, full payment of the estimated charge is due three business days prior to your event. Payments may be made by cash, check or credit card. Any additional or remaining charges will be billed following the event and payment is due within 30 days of invoicing.

 

  • Menu prices are subject to change without advance written notice as market prices may fluctuate beyond our control.

 

Sales Tax

 

  • Your UW budget is exempt from Washington state sales tax.

 

  • Washington state and local taxes are added to purchases on non-UW accounts. The current sales tax is 10 percent for food and beverages and 9.5 percent for all nonfood items.

 

Service Fees and Delivery

 

  • Deliveries are available beginning at 7 a.m.

 

  • There is no fee for order pickups from our kitchen in Haggett Hall.

 

  • There is no fee for boxed lunch deliveries unless additional items are ordered.

 

  • For all other orders, there is a service fee of $25 which includes the price of disposables such as utensils and platters, delivery, post-event cleanup, and pickup of any equipment and small wares.

 

  • The service fee for events prior to 7 a.m. or after 7 p.m. on weekdays and weekends is $35. If your event is occurs on a UW holiday, then please call for additional service fees. 

 

Linen and China Fees

 

  • All prices include quality disposableware.

 

  • China and glassware service is available upon request at an additional rental charge of $2 per person and is available at attended events only.

 

  • Linen is provided for all Bay Laurel food and beverage service tables.

 

  • Linen is also provided for guest tables on attended served meals.

 

  • Additional tablecloths are available for $10 each. Skirting is $10 each.

 

Labor Fees

 

  • Uniformed servers are available for all events at $20 per hour, per server. Labor fees will accrue for the contracted length of the event. Delay in service of meals may result in additional fees. For receptions, labor fees will accrue for the length of the event plus 1 hour additional for setup/breakdown time. Hourly rates are subject to change.

 

Bar Service Fees

 

  • Complete bar service is available for $3 per person. Service includes appropriate drink mixers, bar fruits and garnishes, disposableware, condiments, and cocktail napkins.

 

  • Wine and/or beer service is available for $1.50 per person. Service includes corkage fee, disposableware and cocktail napkins.

 

  • Bar glassware can be rented for $1.50 per person.

 

  • Table wine service is $1.50 per person and includes glassware.

 

  • Bartender fee is $100; this includes 3 hours of service and 1 hour of setup/breakdown time. If the event time is longer than 3 hours, the additional labor charge is $25 per bartender per hour.

 

  • Alcoholic beverages and soft drinks are an additional charge.
